Keep Your Voice Low, You Are in Public!

Assalamualaikum,

On many occasions I've come across people talking wildly and loudly on cellphones. And not surprisingly I've encountered these so called self-important-cellphone-guys@girls mostly in the public transports. And yes, I met one of these guys just a few hours ago when I was on the bus. Somehow I thought that this is downright unacceptable to the public. People who talk LOUDLY on their cell phones in places where it’s reeeaally not necessary. I mean, c'mon, don't you feel a slight embarrassment when the whole bus can hear you talking about the rashes and spots you have on your buttocks? ( OK, mind you, this is a pure example I wrote here... ).

What I'm saying here is, I don’t want to hear about other people’s personal problems while I’m out! Well it's not just about hearing the problems they are having (duh, like I care!), but I can get easily annoyed by just listening to the LOUD voices.

On one occasion, there was a young lady sitting opposite to me on the bus. Her cellphone suddenly rang and of course being an example taken for this entry, she spoke loudly as she was furious with her son being repulsive. (if the memory still serves me right.) And sitting next to me, was a man showing an utterly annoyed face with the conversation she was having with her son. At one point the lady asked something requiring a 'YES' answer from her son. And the man, being occupied with the thought of giving her some lessons on this, blurted out a "YES" right in front of her face! Oh my... at that strike moment I was shocked! BUT at the same time I realized myself giggling deep inside. Hahaha...take that young lady!

Well, I just need those who'd realized themselves being the "public enemy" to show some respects. Most of the times, it relied on people showing respect, but it didn't really work. Or, should we now start to implement what have been done by the France, Finland, German, Denmark and Austria on this—offer similar "quiet compartment" sanctuaries on trains??

p/s Psychologically, I can feel that people are self-absorbed and have poor self-esteem on a societal level, constantly needing to reassure themselves that someone likes them by keeping their phones glued to their ears. Don't you think?? (no sense of jealousy here..okeyy?? =P)

Salam Najlaa,

kadang2 menyampah jugak dengar org bergaduh, org berlagak dsb sambil berbual dalam handphone ni. Terdengar pun sebab diorang cakap kuat sgt. Tapi apakan daya takder sapa mampu menghalang.

p/s: Pernah tgk video you tube ker... seorang perempuan melayu menangis2 & bergaduh ketika bercakap dengan BF nyer. Dahlah cakap dengan berteriak pas tu dalam tren LRT. Member sebelah dia yg tenangkan plak yg rasa malu. kesian member.

Ahah. Orang2 begitu kadang-kadang seronok untuk ditengok. Ye la, bila dah boring duduk dalam bus or train, we will tend to look at people. Jumpa orang cam tu, leh kita gelak2. Ye tak.

Positif gila komen nih. Haha.
